Doug Ulman is the President and CEO of Pelotonia. Pelotonia is a three day annual cycling event that has raised nearly $150 million in 9 years for cancer research. Doug is the former CEO of Livestrong, founder of the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults, has run 100 miles in the Himalayas and has climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, and much more.
Doug discusses how you can be part of the "Greatest Team Ever" by supporting Pelotonia, discusses the history and importance of Livestrong and its impact, talks about how cancer is being "cured" by incredible new innovations in genetic testing, and let's us in on whether he really invented the yellow Livestrong bracelet or not.
He also offers some powerful insights into what it's like to be on the front end of the cancer battle, where losing people you care about happens far too often.
